License monitoring and automatic renewal
Nobody decides to let a license lapse. The renewal notice goes to an old email, the
state fee sits in someone's inbox, and the carrier finds out before the agency does.
AgencyView tracks every agent's state licenses and carrier appointments, and renews the
ones you tell it to before they expire.
What license monitoring does
Give AgencyView an agent's National Producer Number and their licenses are pulled from
NIPR and kept current. Each one is listed with the state, the license number, the start
date, the end date and the renewal date, so an expired or expiring license is visible long
before a carrier notices it. Alongside it sit an expired-license list, a map of license
coverage by state, and a cheat sheet of each state's initial and renewal fee.
Three levels of oversight
- None — this agent's licenses and appointments are not tracked.
- Monitor — licenses and appointments are tracked and nothing
else. Use it for agents whose non-resident licenses you are not paying for.
- Manage — tracking, plus automatic renewal and non-resident
applications. Use it for licensed-only agents and anyone whose licensing the agency runs.
Automatic renewal
Auto-Renew is a switch on each license. With it on, the renewal is filed 90 days before
the license's end date. You complete the renewal profile the state requires once, and the
cost is itemized before you confirm.
Non-resident licenses
When an agent needs a new state, add the non-resident state from their license list and
follow the application steps. The request shows as Pending while it progresses.
Carrier appointments
Carrier appointments sit alongside the licenses, with start and end dates wherever the
carrier or the state reports them. Carrier Pretty rules turn carriers' legal names into the
names your team uses. Not every carrier or state reports complete appointment dates.
What it costs
Monitoring is $1.50 per month, per monitored
license. A renewal filed for you costs the state's own fee, plus $5.60 to NIPR for the filing, plus $5.00 processing and 3% card processing on the total — $62.42 all in on a $50 state fee. Auto-Renew is off until you turn it on for a
specific license.
State renewal fees, by state
What each jurisdiction charges to renew a resident individual producer license. These are
the state's fees only, as published by NIPR and read from each state's own page on
2026-09-09. NIPR's $5.60 transaction fee applies on top. States change these, and several price a renewal by which
lines of authority the license carries.
