AgencyView Launches HIPAA Compliance Center for Insurance Agencies
Built-in module gives agency administrators a live audit trail, accounting of disclosures, session control, workforce training records, incident management, and Business Associate Agreement tracking across their entire downline.
SHERIDAN, WYO. — September 6, 2026 — AgencyView, the all-in-one agency management and commission tracking platform for insurance agencies, today announced the HIPAA Compliance Center, a compliance module built directly into the platform. It gives agency and sub-agency administrators a live view of how protected health information (PHI) is accessed, by whom, and whether the obligations in their Business Associate Agreement are being met.
The Compliance Center overview, captured from the AgencyView Agency Demo account.
Agencies that enroll clients in health, Medicare, and ACA coverage handle protected health information in nearly every client conversation. The records HIPAA expects them to keep, meaning who accessed what, when, and why, have traditionally lived in spreadsheets, in a vendor portal the agency cannot query, or nowhere at all. The HIPAA Compliance Center puts that record where the work already happens.
“Most agencies are not out of compliance because they do not care. They are out of compliance because the record-keeping was never built into the tools they use every day. The Compliance Center makes the audit trail a by-product of doing the job.”
— AgencyView, in a company statement
What the HIPAA Compliance Center does
- Audit trail. Every access to protected health information is recorded with the workforce member, the action, the record touched, the IP address, and a risk grade. The trail is filterable by user, action, risk level, and date, and exports to CSV.
- Accounting of disclosures. Under 45 CFR 164.528 an individual may ask who accessed their health information. The Center answers that request for a single client in one step, including access by platform staff so the accounting is complete.
- Information system activity review. The per-workforce-member activity review that 45 CFR 164.308(a)(1)(ii)(D) calls for, generated from the live audit trail for any date range.
- Documentation retention. A retention view against the six-year requirement in 45 CFR 164.316(b)(2)(i).
- Active sessions. Administrators see every signed-in device across the organization and can revoke a single session or all of them, in line with 45 CFR 164.312(a)(2)(iii).
- Workforce training. A roster of training records with scores and certificates, with outstanding records shown first.
- Security incidents. A log to identify, respond to, and document incidents under 45 CFR 164.308(a)(6).
- Business Associate Agreement obligations. The commitments in the executed agreement, tracked clause by clause. Where the platform cannot observe an obligation, it says so rather than assuming it is met.
Reports: the records an auditor asks for, generated from the live audit trail.

Scoped to the way agencies are actually organized
Insurance agencies rarely fit a single org chart. An agency may have sub-agencies, independent agents contracted beneath it, licensed-only agents writing under a principal, and customer service representatives working a seat inside a producer’s book. The Compliance Center follows that downline: an agency administrator sees the whole hierarchy beneath them, a sub-agency administrator sees theirs, and nothing from outside the boundary is visible.
Availability
The HIPAA Compliance Center is available now to agency and sub-agency administrators inside AgencyView. More information is at agencyview.net. Future announcements will be posted to the AgencyView newsroom.
