Stop chasing paperwork: get documents from clients by text with Request Documents
Send a client a link by text or email; they photograph the document with their phone, and it lands on their record, filed and read.
Every agent knows the call. You need a copy of the client's insurance ID card, or the declarations page from the policy they want you to beat, or the front and back of their Medicare card. The client means to send it. Then it arrives a week later as a blurry photo in a text thread on your personal phone, or it never arrives, and you call again. Request Documents is a new way to ask, in AgencyView. You send the client a link. They open it on their phone, photograph each page, and tap Send. The document is filed to that client in AgencyView and read into their record, ready for you to confirm. It's live now for every AgencyView agency. Ask for exactly what you need Open the client's record, then Actions → Request Documents . Tick what you need from the list (a driver's license or photo ID, insurance ID card, Medicare card, declarations page, application, current policy or renewal notice, proof of prior insurance, vehicle registration, proof of income or a medication list) and type anything else in your own words. Add a short message if it helps, like "Front and back of the card, please." Then choose how it goes out: Text goes from your agency's number, into the client's conversation in your CRM, so it's in the same thread as everything else. A client who has opted out of texts isn't texted. Email is sent in your agency's name. Copy link gives you the link to paste into your own message. You can start from Printed Documents too: Capture with camera → Ask a client , then pick the client. It's the same request. Someone who isn't in your CRM yet? Type their mobile number or email there and choose Send to : they're added as a new contact when the request goes out, and their name is offered for you to confirm when their document is read. Take photos myself is still there for when the document is in front of you. What your client sees The link opens a page with your agency's logo, who asked, and the list of what you asked for. There's no app to install and nothing to sign in to. The client taps Take a photo and photographs each page, or chooses photos they already have, or a PDF. Each page shows on screen before it goes, so they can retake a bad one. Then they tap Send , and the page tells them you have their documents. The page never shows the client's name or anything from their file. It shows your agency's name and logo, your name, and what you asked for. The link works for 7 days, and the client can use it as many times as they need, so "I found the other page" isn't a problem. It arrives filed, and read What the client sends goes straight to encrypted storage and shows up in Printed Documents , already filed to that client and marked Sent by link . Like everything else filed there, it goes into the client's Submissions Center on their record. AgencyView also reads it. Open the document and Found in this document lists what it says that the client's record doesn't: on an auto ID card, a new auto policy with its number and start date, and the vehicles. Check what's right, correct anything with the pencil, and add it to the record. Back on the client's record, Request Documents lists every earlier request and how many documents came back. You can copy a link again, or turn it off. Your agency's own upload link Agency admins get one more option. On Printed Documents, the Client upload page card gives your agency a link anyone can use to send you documents: put it on your website, in your email signature, or in a text. Documents that come in through it land in Needs Review and are matched to the right client, the same way a scan is. When AgencyView is sure the sender isn't in your CRM yet, it adds them as a new contact. The same card is where you add your logo, which appears on the page and in the emails your clients get.
