AgencyView Launches Request Documents: Insurance Agents Text Clients a Link, and Documents Come Back From the Client’s Phone Filed to Their Record and Read
An agent asks for an ID card, a declarations page or any other document by text, email or a copied link. The client photographs each page on a page with the agency’s logo, with no app or sign-in, and AgencyView files it to the client and reads it into their record.
SHERIDAN, WYO. — October 10, 2026 — AgencyView, the all-in-one agency management and commission tracking platform for insurance agencies, today launched Request Documents. An agent asks a client for documents from the client’s record; the client gets a link by text or email, opens a page with the agency’s logo on their phone, photographs each page or chooses photos or a PDF, and taps Send. The document arrives in AgencyView already filed to that client, and AgencyView reads it into the client’s record for the agent to confirm. It is live now for every AgencyView agency.
Asking a client for documents from their record. The client is fictional, on AgencyView’s demo account.
“Every agent has called a client three times for a copy of an ID card. The client wants to help; the hard part is getting the page from their kitchen table to the right file. Now the agent sends one link, the client takes a photo, and minutes later the document is on their record.”
— AgencyView, in a company statement
How it works
- On the client’s record, the agent opens Actions, Request Documents, ticks what they need (ID card, declarations page, Medicare card, application, proof of prior insurance, vehicle registration and more, or anything in their own words) and adds a message. The same request is under Capture with camera, Ask a client, in Printed Documents, where the agent can also type the mobile number or email of someone not yet in the CRM; they are added as a new contact when the request is sent.
- The link goes by text from the agency’s number into the client’s conversation in the CRM, by email in the agency’s name, or as a link the agent copies. Clients who have opted out of texts are not texted.
- The client’s page shows the agency’s logo, who asked and what for. There is no app and no sign-in. Each page shows on screen before it is sent.
- The link works for 7 days, for as many uploads as the client needs, and the agent can turn it off at any time.

Filed and read
Documents sent through a client’s link go to encrypted storage on AWS and appear in Printed Documents, filed to that client and marked Sent by link. AgencyView then reads the whole document and lists what it says that the client’s record does not, such as a new auto policy with its number and start date and the vehicles on an auto ID card, for the agent to check and add with one click.
What AgencyView read from the sample ID card, ready to add to the client’s record. Other contacts on the demo account are blurred.
An upload link for the whole agency
Agency admins also get one upload link for the agency, for a website or an email signature, and add the agency’s logo on the same card. Documents sent through it are matched to the right client the same way a scan is, and a sender AgencyView is sure is not yet in the CRM is added as a new contact.
A three-minute narrated walkthrough and a printable step-by-step guide are under AgencyView Tutorials.
Availability
Request Documents is live now for every AgencyView agency. Text requests need a texting number connected to the agency’s CRM. AgencyView plans start at $159 per month with a 14-day free trial. Future announcements will be posted to the AgencyView newsroom.
