AgencyView and ComTrack: what integrated commission tracking means for agents
AgencyView now processes your commission statements through ComTrack. Here is what shows up in your CRM, what it costs (nothing extra for agents and agencies), and how to turn it on.
If you sell health, Medicare, or life insurance, you already know the strange truth about commission statements: they are the only proof of what you earned, and they are the last thing anyone wants to read. Every carrier sends its own. Some come from a portal, some by email, some as a spreadsheet with the columns in a different order than last month. Most agents keep a folder, a rough number in their head, and a suspicion that a few policies stopped paying somewhere along the way. That is the problem we set out to fix inside AgencyView, and today we are announcing how: AgencyView has partnered with ComTrack to bring commission processing directly into the platform you already work in. You can read the formal announcement in our newsroom . This post is the version for you, the agent. Commission statements are processed by ComTrack and show up inside AgencyView. Why we partnered instead of building it ourselves We could have written our own statement parser. We chose not to, and the reason is simple. ComTrack has spent years connecting to more than 300 life and health carriers, pulling statements straight from carrier portals, accepting forwarded statement emails, and turning all of it into clean rows of who paid what on which policy. More than 500 agencies already run on it, and it publishes its HIPAA and SOC 2 security posture publicly. Building a worse copy of that would have taken us a year and given you less. Building on top of it gave you a better commission product now. What you actually get Your statements sync every night. Every commission row ComTrack has processed for you is mirrored into AgencyView overnight and matched to your clients and policies, first by policy number or member id, then by name. You do not upload anything. Commission history on every client. Open a client record and see what each carrier has paid on that person, grouped by the policies you hold for them. Chargebacks show as negative amounts. Nothing is hidden. Monthly earnings on your commissions dashboard. This month against last month, the trailing twelve months, and year to date, with a bar for every month going back about twenty. It is ComTrack's own total, not a number we rebuilt, so it matches what you would see in ComTrack. Alerts when money is quietly leaving. A policy that was paying and stopped. A policy you wrote that has never been paid on. A carrier still paying on a policy your CRM says is inactive. A chargeback. Each one becomes an alert on the client, so you find out in days instead of at tax time. Ghost clients. Sometimes a carrier pays you on someone who is not in your CRM at all. Those people now show up in a queue with the policy pre-filled from the statement, so you can add them properly instead of losing them. The CFO Center. Revenue at risk, what you are owed, which carriers are quietly shrinking, what your book is worth, and what to set aside for taxes. All of it reads from the same synced statements. One click into ComTrack. When you want the full workspace, reconciliation, payroll, and reporting, the Open Commissions button signs you straight in with your AgencyView login. What it costs you Here is the part most announcements bury. If you are an independent agent or an agency on AgencyView, commission tracking is included in your platform price. There is no increase. There is one exception, and it is a fair one. If you run an agency that pays commissions out to your own LOA agents or to independent agents beneath you, you need ComTrack's comp plans, agent and override payroll, and agent portals. That is ComTrack's Pro tier, and it carries an additional charge. Everyone else is on the included tier. The reason we structured it this way is a goal we have held from the start: one platform, one subscription. A CRM bill, a commission tracking bill, and a compliance bill, each from a different vendor, each with its own login, is how agents end up paying for four tools and using two. We would rather integrate the best tool for each job and charge you once. How to turn it on If you already use ComTrack, go to Settings, then Integrations in AgencyView and paste your ComTrack API key. It is stored on our servers, never in your browser, and each agent's key sees only that agent's book. If you do not use ComTrack yet, the Open Commissions button on your Commissions page creates your account with your AgencyView identity, and you connect the key the same way once ComTrack has your statements. Your first statements appear after the first overnight sync. From then on, it is automatic. A note on what we did not do We did not rebuild ComTrack's reporting inside AgencyView, and we are not going to. ComTrack's reconciliation, missing-renewal detection, and payroll are excellent, and they are one click away. What AgencyView adds is context: the same commission row sitting next to the client it belongs to, the policy it pays on, the calls you made, and the alert it should raise. That is the part only your CRM can do. Questions about your plan or the Pro tier? Open a support ticket from inside AgencyView with Ctrl+F1 and we will answer.
