AgencyView vs. HubSpot: A CRM, or an Agency Platform?
HubSpot is free for two users and $7 to $150 per seat after that, plus a required onboarding fee from Professional up. It knows nothing about a policy until you build it. AgencyView is priced per agency at $299 for up to 25 agents with the policy, the HealthSherpa enrollment, the commission and the compliance file already in the record. Every HubSpot price quoted from hubspot.com.
HubSpot is the CRM a lot of agents already know from a previous job, and its free tier is genuinely free. So the question comes up every open enrollment: "Can I just run my agency on HubSpot?" You can run a pipeline on it. Whether you can run an insurance agency on it is a different question, and it comes down to two things: what HubSpot costs once you are past two users, and what it knows about a policy. Every HubSpot price below is quoted from hubspot.com as read on September 25, 2026, with a link. What HubSpot costs, per seat HubSpot's Sales Hub pricing page lists four tiers: Tier Price (per seat per month) Fine print on the page Free $0, "Free for up to 2 users. No credit card required." Starter $7 billed annually, $20 paying monthly 500 HubSpot Credits Professional $90 billed annually, $100 paying monthly "$1,500" one-time Professional Onboarding, required; 3,000 credits Enterprise $150 billed annually; no monthly option listed "$3,500" one-time Enterprise Onboarding, required; 5,000 credits For an agency owner, three agents and one CSR, that is $35 a month on Starter for a shared pipeline, or $450 a month on Professional plus the $1,500 onboarding fee, both billed per seat and, at the annual rates, up front. Those are fair prices for what they buy. What they buy is a general-purpose CRM. AgencyView's Professional plan is $299 per month for up to 25 agents and producers, and Starter is $159 for one agent and two CSR accounts. No onboarding fee, a 14-day free trial, and every plan includes the whole platform. What HubSpot knows about a policy Nothing, unless you teach it. HubSpot's data model is contacts, companies, deals and tickets. A household, a policy with a carrier and an effective date, a Medicare number, a medication list, a commission statement: each is a custom object or a set of custom properties you design, and each workflow that touches them is one you build. Agencies do this, and the good ones end up with a HubSpot admin on payroll. The pricing pages we read do not mention insurance, commissions, quoting or HIPAA. An agency whose real product is content marketing to employers might reasonably live there. And if you already have a HubSpot admin, that person is an asset. Where the two part ways An ACA or Medicare agency's day is a household, a quote, an application, a policy and, months later, a commission. AgencyView starts with that record already built: press Quote and HealthSherpa returns the plans with the subsidy applied, selecting one writes a pending policy and a follow-up task, and the status comes back to the record. Medicare-eligible clients sync to HealthSherpa Medicare automatically. Then the commission statements arrive, every night, matched to the client and the policy, and the CFO Center answers the owner's questions from them. The HIPAA Compliance Center keeps the BAAs, the training records and the access log an auditor asks for. None of that is a custom object you have to design first. A CRM, or an agency platform HubSpot is a CRM you configure into an agency system, one seat and one onboarding fee at a time. AgencyView is the agency system, priced for the whole agency. From Lead to Quote to Enroll , then Paid, without building the policy object yourself. Try the interactive demo or start free .
