AgencyView vs. AgencyBloc: What the Front Half of the Job Looks Like
AgencyBloc is a strong back office, and its commission processing deserves the credit. AgencyView adds the front half of the job: HealthSherpa ACA enrollment from the contact record today, not later, plus Medicare sync, the CFO Center, a HIPAA Compliance Center you actually run, built-in intake surveys, health conditions for underwriting, and RingCentral or Twilio phones.
AgencyBloc is the system a lot of health and Medicare agencies grew up on. It calls itself "Your Growth Engine Built for Health Insurance Agencies" and says 6,500+ agencies use it . Its commission processing is genuinely good, and we will say so below. So the question we get from AgencyBloc shops is a sharper one than usual: "We already have commissions handled. What does AgencyView add?" The short answer is the front half of the job. AgencyBloc is built around the records: the policy, the statement, the payout. AgencyView is built around the whole line: from Lead to Quote to Enroll, to Paid, to audit-ready, on one platform. This post goes feature by feature. Every AgencyBloc claim below is quoted from agencybloc.com, with a link, as read on September 7, 2026. Where its pages are silent we say "not on its pages", not "it can't". HealthSherpa ACA: the part AgencyBloc says is coming AgencyBloc's own announcement is clear about scope. The HealthSherpa integration it launched on August 4, 2026 "connects Medicare quoting, enrollment, and client management workflows", and AgencyBloc "plans to expand the integration to support Individual ACA workflows in the future." If your book is ACA, that future is the part you need today. In AgencyView it is already the ordinary way an agent works. Open a contact, press Quote, and the household is filled in from the record. Look up the ZIP, add anyone else on the plan, enter income, and AgencyView asks HealthSherpa for the plans. Every plan shows the subsidy, deductible, copays and a link to the Summary of Benefits. On-exchange and off-exchange are one toggle. Select a plan and a pending policy is written to the contact, a follow-up task is set for the carrier-issued number, and you either continue the enrollment on HealthSherpa with the applicant loaded or send the client a link with that plan pre-selected. After enrollment, application and policy status sync back, so Policy Status Queues show pending, effectuated and terminated cases without another login. One admin can share the HealthSherpa connection with the whole agency. 2. HealthSherpa Medicare Here the two platforms are closer. AgencyBloc describes a "two-way flow of data between HealthSherpa for Medicare and AMS+". AgencyView's version connects with an OAuth login and then runs on its own: contacts who are 65 or older, turning 65 within nine months, or already on an MAPD, MA or PDP plan are synced to HealthSherpa Medicare automatically with a quoting link written back to the record, a daily sweep catches anyone newly eligible, a monthly turning-65 report lists who is coming up, and an enrollment submitted on HealthSherpa returns as a policy on the right contact with a note. 3. Commission tracking: credit where it is due Commissions+ is AgencyBloc's strongest product. Its pages claim "7,500+ carrier maps", statements itemized "in minutes", "missed commission identification", and agent statements with "splits, overrides, hierarchies, and producer payout structures". If you process statements by hand today, that is real relief, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. AgencyView takes a different route to the same numbers. Instead of uploading each statement, it connects to your commission tracking account and mirrors every statement every night. On top of that it runs: Lapse and never-paid detectors that flag a policy the carrier stopped paying on, or never started. Chargeback alerts every night, so a clawback shows up as work to do. A Commission History tab on every contact, so the agent on the phone can see what that client's policies have paid. The difference is less about the ledger and more about what sits on top of it, which is the next section. 4. The CFO Center AgencyBloc's pricing page lists "broker compensation reporting" and a custom report builder. The CFO Center starts where a report ends. Seven tabs over one ledger answer the questions an owner actually asks: What did I really earn , measured against the last statement that actually loaded, not a blank month. Which carriers went quiet , and how many clients they were paying on when they stopped. What am I owed , and what could still be clawed back. What is the book worth , and what should I set aside for taxes this quarter. Agency admins see the whole agency, sub-agency admins their downline, independent agents their own book. A receivables or valuation view is not on AgencyBloc's pages. 5. HIPAA: certified is not the same as run AgencyBloc's security page says its solutions are "HIPAA-compliant", SOC 2 Type II and HITRUST R2 certified, with "bank-level encryption". Those are statements about the vendor. Your agency's HIPAA program is a separate thing: the BAAs you hold with your own vendors and downlines, the training your staff completed, and the log you can show an auditor. AgencyBloc's pages describe the audit trail as "call recording, email logs, and workflow activities". Its pages do not describe BAA tooling or staff training. The AgencyView HIPAA Compliance Center is that program: BAA Documents and Contracts : AgencyView sends your agency its BAA for e-signature and follows up on day 3 and day 5, and a register records the BAAs you hold with your own vendors. Training records per team member, with completion dates. Audit logs of who saw what, including every denied access attempt, written automatically. Reports scoped to your agency and downline. SSNs and Medicare numbers behind a per-agency password on the contact record. 6. Surveys: intake, not just consent AgencyBloc handles the compliance forms well: a Medicare Scope of Appointment, an ACA Consent to Contact and an ACA Attestation, e-signed and stored on the contact.
